Flag raising

To help honour Portugal Heritage Month, the Northern Portugal Cultural Centre and Oshawa Portuguese Club sent a formal request to have the Portuguese flag raised on June 1 and fly over Oshawa City Hall for the month of June. With some help from our friend, Councillor Tito-Dante Marimpietri, everything is ready to go. Although there won’t be a ceremony, due to the pandemic, the flag will be raised and the proclamation will be posted on the city’s website.
