Raising of the Flag of Portugal

ACAPO Portugal Week 2016 kicks off in Oshawa!

Celebrations to honour the Flag of Portugal and to recognize the Portuguese community’s presence and importance in Oshawa will be begin at Oshawa City Hall with the official flag raising ceremony at 4pm sharp, followed by a “Porto de Honra” & reception at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery. This is a free event for everyone.

HIghlights will include:

• Proclamation of Portugal Day by His Worship Mayor John Henry
• National Anthems
• Portuguese-Canadian Art Exhibit curated by Olinda Casemiro & Presented by The Gallery of the Portuguese Pioneers & The Peach Gallery
• Reception & “Porto de Honra” to follow at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery
