Featuring concertina players and singers from four toronto groups – Amigos do Minho, Arsenal do Minho, Associação Cultural Do Minho de Toronto and Estrelas do Norte plus a special performance by our very own Rancho do Minho de Oshawa. Title: Ympério Show – Live from Portugal!
Location: Northern Portugal Cultural Centre
Description: If you enjoyed them or missed them the first time, you’re in luck. Our next festa will be on Friday, March 2nd and will showcase Ympério Show’s return to Canada! This spectacular event will be hosted by our dance group O Rancho do Minho de Oshawa as a fundraiser to help pay for the recording of our first CD. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Centre’s committee for allowing us the opportunity to host this event and also to commend them on the sensational job they’ve done over the last 12 months.

Description: This is a pot-luck party with proceeds going to the Lakeridge Cancer Centre. Prizes will be given out for various costume categories….if you are interested, please contact our centre for details….this is always a sold out event, so get your tickets soon.

Title: Festa do Sócio
Description: We hold this annual event around St Martin’s Day (November 11), which is historically when the Portuguese taste the new wine, traditionally around a bonfire while eating roasted chestnuts. We will be serving feijoada or bbq chicken for dinner, followed by folklore ranchos – Rancho do Minho de Oshawa and Rancho Folclorico de Ottawa, dancing (DJ NewAge Entertainment) and roasted chestnuts. This is a free event for all of our members. Prices for non-members are $15 for adults, $10 for teens (ages 12-18) and free for children 11 and under
