Welcome to the NPCC
The heartbeat of Durham Region’s Portuguese community.
Founded in 1983 by Portuguese immigrants who wanted to celebrate their Minhoto roots our Centre has grown into one of the most respectable, community-minded clubs in Ontario. Although our Centre’s name traditions and Rancho (folk dance group) are rooted in the north (Minho, specifically) we are by no means an exclusive “northern” club. Today our members (and our committee) represent all corners of continental Portugal, Acores and Madeira. We hold various fundraisers throughout the year to help local causes – specifically the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre and our yearly Simcoe Hall Toy Drive.
Everyone is welcome to join us for any of our events – please see our calendar (below) for complete listings of our upcoming events.
If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter “O Mensal” or receive more information about becoming a member, please visit the contact page, fill out the form and send us an email request.
