Title: Festa do Sócio Description: We hold this annual event around St Martin’s Day (November 11), which is historically when the Portuguese taste the new wine, traditionally around a bonfire while eating roasted chestnuts. We will be serving feijoada or bbq chicken for dinner, followed by folklore ranchos – Rancho do Minho de Oshawa and Rancho Folclorico de Ottawa, dancing (DJ NewAge Entertainment) and roasted chestnuts. Title: Festa de Solidariedade – A Fundraiser for a Member of our CommunityDescription: This event is a fundraiser for Jose Manuel Trindade a member of our community who recently suffered a major stroke which has left him unable to work. There is no entry fee, but we will be accepting monetary donations at the front door. All donations will be used to help pay for José Manuel’s medical expenses.
